Breaking The Cyber Code was really an eye-opener for me. Mainly because I am trying to break into the tech industry without prior experience. Ms. Tanzil book really gave me the hope and courage that I need to make it in this tech industry. Reading about the things that she had to overcome in order to break in this industry was mind blowing. Especially being black, a woman, and a minority, in a mostly predominantly white male industry was really inspiring to me. That fact that she came back into the industry years later in a field that doesn’t stop growing, really made me gain even more respect for Ms. Tanzil. If she can do it then I surely can do it too. I must say my favorite part of the book is when she breaks down the different cyber security roles in IT. Since I am new to I.T. it really help me narrow down on which path I would like to take. If you are trying to break into the cyber security industry or tech industry in general, I highly suggest reading this book. You won’t regret it.
